The perfect preparation
A Matcha or Hojicha latte can be made in three steps, without needing a bamboo whisk: 2 g powder, 50 ml water, 150 ml milk.

Place 2 g of Matcha or Hojicha (approx. 1 tsp) into a cup or bowl.

Add 50 ml of hot water (approx. 80 °C) and stir until smooth and free of lumps to form a paste.

Fill with 150 ml of warm or cold milk and enjoy.

Where does RokuTea source its tea?
We source our teas directly from Japan. Our Hojicha comes from Shizuoka Prefecture, and our Ceremonial Grade Matcha (Yutakamidori variety) from Kagoshima.

What does Hojicha taste like?
Hojicha is known for its warm, soothing taste. It is mild, nutty, slightly caramelly and has a pleasantly earthy note. Unlike many other green teas, it is barely bitter and free of grassy notes.
